UkraineAn engineer drove a Volkswagen Touran while drunk, causing the car to crash into a flying field and hit the tail of the MiG-29 fighter.
According to the sheet ObozrevatelThe accident happened in the airport in Vasilkov while the jet was being towed. Driver is not awake at all.
After the collision, the Mig-29 caught fire. The scene showed the tail as well as the jet nozzles suffered damage.
The Touran also damaged the front end, the windshield was broken, the grille was gone. Fortunately no one was seriously injured, only the drunk driver had a few scratches.
Drivers are currently facing many crimes. There is no damage assessment of the fighter. A new MiG-29 is currently priced around $ 11-20 million. The situation was even worse when followed Popular Mechanics, Ukraine Air Force has only 24 MiG-29s.
