Latam flight LA1325 A320 has suffered some serious damage during flight from Santiago Chile (SCL) to Paraguay Asunción (ASU). It is known that the A320 entered some severe weather before diverting. Some reports are suggesting that both engines were not operating at some point, and photos show the RAT extended. (The RAT is a backup electrical system. In the event of dual engine failure, or a serious electrical problem, the RAT will deploy. The RAT is a small propeller connected to a hydraulic pump and emergency electrical generator which will restore limit electrical power to the aircraft).

The flight landed at Foz do Iguacu International Airport
Brazil in the emergency diversion. https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/la1325#2dfd5344

AS can be seen the nose of the A320 is destroyed, the windshield is damaged causing severe visibility issues and clearly there has been engine issues. In quick summation, I think the pilots have done a miraculous job getting this aircraft on the ground.

According to the Paraguayan media outlet ABC Color , the passengers left Santiago earlier in the day, having to land at 5:25 p.m. (Chilean and Paraguayan time) in Asunción. However, due to the storm, the flight had to be diverted to Foz de Iguazú, in Brazil.

It was on the next route, leaving at 10:20 p.m. from that city to the capital of Paraguay, that the pilot had to fly through storms that were captured by panicked passengers.
